We're striving to be better. In July of 2019, Dang Cute Fish stopped using all plastic packaging and shipping materials. All orders made use all paper shipping materials which are recyclable and biodegradable.

 

Why is it important to avoid single use plastics? Because they are made from fossil fuels and stay in the environment for a long time! This means a piece of plastic packaging used one time will sit in a landfill for thousands of years. Plastic that gets into the ocean is dangerous to sea creatures and just gross! You can make a difference every day by reducing the amount of single use plastic you use. Things like disposable coffee cups, straws, plastic shopping bags, and water bottles are easy things to remove from your lifestyle. But in a society focused on convenience and speed, more and more plastic is popping up in our day to day lives. Think about making small changes to have a big impact! Avoid wrapping your vegetables in plastic at the grocery store. Use reusable containers at home rather than plastic wrap and plastic storage bags. Just being aware of plastic you are adding to your life, and visualizing where that plastic will end up can help a change in both in your personal lifestyle and in the environment.
